FAQ

Common questions

Is my data private? +

Yes, completely. Your shifts are saved to a secure cloud database and only you can see them when you're logged in. Nobody else — including us — has access to your data.

Does it cost anything? +

No — it's completely free. No subscription, no premium version, no hidden charges. Just create an account and start logging.

How accurate is the take-home estimate? +

It's based on Scottish income tax bands and NI rates for the current tax year, and assumes you're on a standard PAYE tax code. It won't be penny-perfect — payroll factors in things like pension contributions — but it's close enough to plan with and gives you a realistic idea of what you'll take home.

Does it work on Android as well as iPhone? +

Yes — iPhone, Android, or anything with a modern browser. You can add it to your home screen on both so it opens like a proper app.

What if I change phone or lose my phone? +

No problem. Your data is in the cloud, so just go to ops-exg.uk on your new phone, sign in, and everything is there exactly as you left it.

Can I update my rates if they change? +

Yes. Your basic rate, act up rate and dirty job bonus can all be changed at any time in the Rates tab. All the multipliers (×1.5, ×2 etc.) update automatically when you do.
